The invention concerns a friction drive for a trans- mission belt, the friction drive having a frictional roller (1) and a device (2, 3) for the control of the transmission belt (4) at a large angle of contact using two deflection elements (2, 3). In order to ensure low-slip operation whatever the required load, the friction drive experiences an increased frictional force between the transmission belt (4) and the frictional roller (1) by virtue of the fact that the deflection elements which guide the transmission belt round the frictional roller with a large angle of contact execute a motion relative to the frictional roller under the tensile strain which occurs in the working strand of the transmission belt, this motion increasing the contact sur- face and, in particular, the contact pressure between the transmission belt and the frictional roller.
L'invention concerne une commande à friction pour une courroie de transmission, qui comprend un galet de friction (1) de commande et un dispositif de guidage (2, 3) pour guider la courroie de transmission (4) à grand angle d'enroulement à l'aide de deux éléments de renvoi (2, 3).
