ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system for articulating bogie-type rail vehicles whose adjacent ends are pivotably and rotatably supported by means of support arms extending beyond their headstocks on a bogie with a one-part connecting portal joined with bellows to the car ends and mounted on a swing bolster, said portal being tightly enclosed all round by sealing means and having a platform mounted on said bogie on springs for vertical movement and minimum play in all other directions, said platform being made to pivot by means of at least one centrally arranged large diameter ball bearing and by means of said support arms, characterized in that a single two-row ball bearing is used with three ball races and two rows of balls with one ball race being kinematically associated with the front car, one ball race being associated with the rear car and the third ball race being associated with the swing bolster supporting the portal as well as the platform.
