The user on his computer selects and designs the tab dividers including the text to be printed on the tabs thereof (206). The user indicates where each of the dividers is to be located in an existing electronic document (or in a series of to-be-combined documents) to thereby form an electronic divided document (218). At the desired time, the user clicks the "print" button and a printer operatively connected to the computer is thereby instructed to automatically print (250) the dividers from a printer first feed tray and to print the document(s) from pages in a printer second feed tray and to output the final collated divided document (262), corresponding to the electronic divided document. Advantageously, no subsequent manual collating step is need.

L'utilisateur sélectionne et crée sur son ordinateur les intercalaires comprenant le texte à imprimer sur les étiquettes de ces intercalaires (206). L'utilisateur indique où chacune de ces intercalaires doit être placée dans un document électronique existant (ou dans une série de documents à combiner) afin de former un document électronique divisé (218). Au moment désiré, l'utilisateur clique sur le bouton <= impression >= et une imprimante connectée de façon fonctionnelle à l'ordinateur reçoit la commande pour imprimer automatiquement (250) les intercalaires à partir d'un premier chargeur et pour imprimer les documents à partir d'un second chargeur et pour fournir le document divisé final trié (262), correspondant au document électronique divisé. Avantageusement, aucune étape (manuelle) supplémentaire de triage n'est nécessaire.
