Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to an interference eliminating system for use with a microwave signal transmission system having at least a pair a distantly disposed transmitter-receivers. The transmission system transmits a pair of pilot signals through two separate carrier waves which are mutually cross-polarized. The two pilot signals are received and ana- lyzed with respect to the amplitude and phase of cross-talk caused by at- mospheric interference in the path between the transmitter and the receiver. One example of atmospheric interference is rainfall. The amplitude and phase of the resulting cross-talk signal derived from the pilot signals is feed back as a control signal to elements such as phase shifters to control these elements so as to minimize the cross-talk signal thereby reducing cross- polarization intermixing.
