The invention concerns a device for displaying computer-assisted realistic virtual three-dimensional images, and pictured by computerisation into a real environment, characterised in that it comprises in combination: means for detecting and monitoring in real time the user's position in the geographical site for implanting the virtual objects, relative to an arbitrary reference point; means for detecting and monitoring in real time the position of the users' field of vision (top, bottom, right, left) relative to a reference point located with respect to the user; video means for capturing and monitoring in real time the images perceived by the user; means for computing virtual images in real time taking into account the user's position and the field of vision previously detected; means for mixing the resulting computed virtual video image previously captured, such that the virtual image is pictured on the video image realistically and non-transparently. The aim is to transmit towards individual and portable display means the image thus computed, combining the real external landscape and the images of virtual objects, to a moving user.
Dispositif de visualisation d'images tridimensionnelles réalistes calculées par ordinateur, et incrustées informatiquement dans un environnement réel, se caractérisant en ce qu'il comporte en combinaison: un moyen de détection et de suivi en temps réel de la position de l'utilisateur dans le site géographique d'implantation des objets virtuels, par rapport à un point de référence arbitraire; un moyen de détection et de suivi en temps réel de la position du champ de vision des utilisateurs (haut, bas, droite, gauche) par rapport à un point de référence situé sur l'utilisateur; un moyen vidéo de capture et de suivi en temps réel des images perçues par l'utilisateur; un moyen de calcul d'images virtuelles en temps réel tenant compte de la position et du champ de vision de l'utilisateur préalablement détectés; un moyen de mixage de l'image virtuelle ainsi calculée avec l'image vidéo préalablement capturée, de sorte que l'image virtuelle s'incruste sur l'image vidéo de manière réaliste et non transparente. La finalité est d'envoyer vers un moyen de visualisation individuel et portatif l'image ainsi calculée, combinant le paysage réel extérieur et les images des objets virtuels, sur un utilisateur en mouvement.
