A three-dimensional model is created to represent an environment to be captured on video. A camera is fitted with pan, tilt, and/or zoom sensors. An operator selects a location in the environment (602). The three-dimensional model is used to determine the three-dimensional coordinates of the location selected by the operator (604). Information from the pan, tilt, and/or zoom sensors is used to transform the three-dimensional coordinates to a two- dimensional position in the video from the camera (608, 610). Using the two- dimensional position of the video, a graphic is properly added to the video such that the graphic appears to be at the selected location in the environment (612).
L'invention concerne un modèle tridimensionnel, créé pour représenter un environnement devant faire l'objet d'une présentation vidéo. Une caméra est équipée de capteurs de panoramique, d'inclinaison et/ou de zoom. Un opérateur sélectionne tel ou tel emplacement de l'environnement (602). On utilise le modèle pour déterminer les coordonnées tridimensionnelles de l'emplacement sélectionné par l'opérateur (604). On utilise l'information fournie par les capteurs susmentionnés pour transformer les coordonnées en une position bidimensionnelle dans la présentation vidéo de la caméra (608, 610). La position bidimensionnelle permet d'ajouter convenablement un graphique à la présentation vidéo, de sorte que le graphique apparaisse en coïncidence avec l'emplacement sélectionné dans l'environnement (612).
