The invention consists of a communication system that relays a satellite signal inside railway tunnels and relays the signals transmitted inside said tunnels towards the satellite, in such a way as to assure to vehicles transiting inside the tunnels a perfect transmission and reception quality even in the absence of satellite visibility. The system is based on a fixed terminal, for gallery illumination, connected to a fixed satellite station, and on a mobile terminal installed on the vehicle, connected to a mobile satellite terminal. The system automatically effects a switching action between satellite channel and radio channel in the tunnel, and vice versa, to assure the continuity of the vehicle-satellite connection. The system finds elective application for railway vehicles.
Cette invention concerne un système de communication qui relaie un signal reçu par satellite à l'intérieur de tunnels ferroviaires et qui relaie les signaux émis à l'intérieur de ces tunnels en direction du satellite de façon que les véhicules transitant à l'intérieur des tunnels bénéficient d'une qualité d'émission et de réception parfaite, même en l'absence de visibilité satellite. Le système repose d'une part sur un terminal fixe, pour l'éclairage de la galerie, connecté à une station satellite fixe et d'autre part sur un terminal mobile installé sur le véhicule et connecté à un terminal satellite mobile. Le système effectue automatiquement une commutation entre le canal de transmission par satellite et le canal radio dans le tunnel, et inversement, pour assurer la continuité de la connexion véhicule satellite. Le système peut être mis en oeuvre pour des véhicules ferroviaires.
