ABTRACT A system for interfacing telephone sets with a centrex system comprising peripheral circuits for interfacing telephone lines connected to telephone sets and centrex lines, a set handler connected to the peripheral circuits for connecting individual telephone lines and individual centrex lines, the set handler comprising apparatus for translating supervisory and control signals received from the telephone sets into supervisory and control signals of types recognizable by the centrex system, whereby a centrex call can progress as provided by the centrex system.
