The present invention provides a system for mosaicing multiple input images, captured by one or more remote sensors, onto a seamless mosaic of an area of interest. Each set of input images captured by the remote sensors within a capture interval are ortho-rectified and mosaiced together into a composite image. Successive composite images, along a given flight path, are then mosaiced together to form a strip. Adjacent strips are then mosaiced together to form a final image of the area of interest.

La présente invention concerne un système permettant la mise en mosaïque de multiples images d'entrée capturées par un ou plusieurs capteurs distants, d'où l'obtention d'une mosaïque continue d'une zone d'intérêt. Les images d'entrée capturées par les capteurs distants à l'intérieur d'un intervalle de capture sont ortho-rectifiées et mises en mosaïque de manière à former une image composite. Des images composites successives, le long d'une trajectoire de vol donnée, sont ensuite mises en mosaïque de façon à former une bande. Les bandes adjacentes sont ensuite mises en mosaïque de sorte à former une image finale de la zone d'intérêt.
