The invention relates to a system for opening and/or closing a door (1), comprising a door drive unit and a transmitter unit (2) and a receiver unit. The transmitter unit (2) is provided for the transfer of a control signal to the receiver unit which is connected to the drive unit of the door. The aim of the invention is to provide a system for opening and/or closing a door and a corresponding transmitter unit. According to the invention, said inventive system is economical and can be used by any particular number of users, is easy to use and can be constructed without large installation costs, such that it can also be retrofitted. The transmitter unit (2) is activated by light signals.
