ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The disclosed system includes a plurality of tone channels, each having a filter, a voltage controlled oscillator, and an analog delay line; a source of tone signal which signal is applied to each said delay line and a circuit for generating, for each said delay line, clock pulses which are out of phase by a selected amount with those for each other channel; said circuit including first and second N stage counters, timing elements which are controlled to step said first counter at a first predetermined relatively low frequency and to step the second counter at a second frequency which is several times greater than the first, circuitry for combining the output from each stage of the first counter with the output from a selected stage of the second counter and applying each of said combined outputs to a single line, the combined output on each of said lines being applied through a different one of said filters to control the output frequency of the corresponding oscillator, and circuitry for utilizing the output from each oscillator to produce the clock pulses for the corresponding delay line; the outputs from said delay lines being utilized to produce a chorus effect output from said instrument.
