ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A system is provided for putting on and changing a tubular protective cover (9) on a toilet seat (3), in which the protective cover (5) is moved from a roll (7) of fresh tubing by means of a drive mechanism (19) over the toilet seat into a receptacle area for used tubing. The used tubing is moved into a collector container (21), which is embodied either in a fixed shape or as a foil pouch, and the used tubing is moved into this container through an opening in a housing wall of the system, so that the con- tainer can easily be changed from the outside. A shredding device may be provided on the pull-off mechanism (15), so that the used tubing is deposited in the container (21) in a shredded state, thereby saving space.
