A four step process for removing vehicles from the public roadways having worn tires including establishing a standard for end of life tire conditions (30), converting the standard to relate correspondingly to tread wear (32), providing a visual indication of end of life tread wear (34) and providing for inspection and vehicle disqualification where end of life tire wear is indicated (36).
L'invention concerne un procédé en quatre étapes visant à retirer des routes publiques les véhicules équipés de pneus usés, qui consiste à : établir une norme définissant les conditions (30) de fin de vie de pneus ; convertir la norme de manière à la faire correspondre à une usure (32) de bande de roulement ; fournir une indication visuelle d'usure (34) de fin de vie de bande de roulement ; soumettre les véhicules à une inspection et interdire ceux qui présentent une usure (36) de fin de vie.
