AN IMPROVED SYSTEM FOR SEPARATING AND REMOVING OIL BASED MATTER FROM LIQUIDS SUCH AS WATER Abstract of the Disclosure System for separating and removing oil based matter from liquids such as water, which comprises a plurality of vertical rotating discs, partly immersed in the liquid con- taining oil based matter. Means are provided to separate from the discs those materials which adhere thereto and to convey such materials to a first container. Further means are provided, which are adapted to discharge periodically such materials from the first container. Means are also provided for preferentially conveying the materials present on the liquid surface toward the discs. - 1 -
