SYSTEM FOR THE EFFICIENT REDUCTION OF NITROGEN OXIDES IN AN EFFLUENT ABSTRACT The invention presented comprises a system for the efficient reduction of nitrogen oxides in the effluent from the combustion of a carbonaceous fuel, the system comprising means for effecting a treatment regimen; means for generating a signal representative of the condition of the effluent; and controller responsive to such signal for adjusting the treatment regimen in response to such signal in order to achieve substantial nitrogen oxides reductions while minimizing the production of other pollutants.
