System for the intermittent introduction of a gaseous fuel in a multi-cylinder engine. To be able to deal with the comparatively large quantity of gas, it is proposed that a metering valve (6) be used for each cylinder comprising a main valve and an auxiliary valve (16). The auxiliary valve (16) is electrically controlled and via a mechanical, pressure controlled amplifier mechanism, the main orifice in the metering valve (6) is opened.

L'invention concerne un système d'introduction intermittente d'un combustible gazeux dans un moteur à plusieurs cylindres. Pour permettre de répartir des quantités de gaz relativement grandes, on propose d'utiliser une soupape (6) de dosage pour chaque cylindre, notamment une soupape principale et une soupape (16) auxiliaire. La soupape (16) auxiliaire est commandée électriquement, et l'orifice principal de la soupape (6) de dosage s'ouvre via un système mécanique d'amplificateur actionné par la pression.
