The invention relates to a system (1) for transporting persons/goods in elevator installations and/or on escalators, a method of operating such a system (1), a control device and a computer program product for commanding such a system (1). At least one person/goods item is recognized by at least one recognition device (10) via at least one identification code (2). An identification code (3) recognized by the recognition device (10) is passed on to at least one control device (11). For each recognized identification code (3) at least one user profile (A, A', A") of one person/goods item for transportation is made ready. At least one user profile (A, A', A") of one person/goods item for transportation is used as transportation profile (B) or at least two user profiles (A, A', A") of at least two persons/goods items for transportation are linked to form a transportation profile (B). At least one means of transportation (12) is commanded by the control device (11) according to this transportation profile (B).
