The invention relates to the instruments for aiding the piloting of aircraft and more precisely a system comprising two instruments (ICS1, ICS2) making it possible to display flight parameters and notably the attitude of the aircraft. Each instrument comprises an inertial measurement unit (121, 122). The invention makes it possible to align the inertial measurement units (121, 122) in a stand-alone manner even when the aircraft is in motion. The alignment can be carried out without using an external source of information. Accordingly, the alignment is carried out mutually for the two inertial measurement units (121, 122) based on a relative position of each instrument (ICS1, ICS2) and on measurements (.OMEGA.1, .OMEGA.2, .gamma.1, .gamma.2) taken by each instrument (ICS1, ICS2) during one and the same time period.
L'invention concerne les instruments d'aide au pilotage des aéronefs et plus précisément un système comprenant deux instruments (ICS1, ICS2) permettant l'affichage de paramètres de vol et notamment l'attitude de l'aéronef. Chaque instrument comporte une unité de mesure inertielle (121, 122). L'invention permet d'aligner les unités de mesure inertielles (121, 122) de façon autonome même lorsque l'aéronef est en mouvement L'alignement peut se faire sans utiliser de source d'information extérieure. A cet effet, l'alignement est réalisé de façon mutuelle pour les deux unités de mesure inertielle (121, 122) à partir d'une position relative de chaque instrument (ICS1, ICS2) et de mesures (O1, O2, ?i, ?2) effectuées par chaque instrument (ICS1, ICS2) pendant une même période de temps.
