System, method and computer product for predicting protein-protein interactions. In this disclosure, there is at least one biological data source containing biological data. A protein-protein interactions prediction module accesses the at least one biological data source and predicts interactions with a target protein having known domain and motif information. The prediction module includes a search module that searches the at least one biological data source for a set of proteins with domain and motif information similar to the domain and motif information of the target protein. An extraction module extracts interaction proteins from the set of proteins. A cellular location module determines whether the extracted interaction proteins are co-located at the same cellular location as the target protein. An analysis module determines protein-protein interactions of the interaction proteins with the target protein based on interaction domains and motifs and cellular location.
Système, procédé et produit informatique permettant de prévoir des interactions entre protéines. Dans cette invention, on trouve au moins une source de données biologiques renfermant de telles données. Un module de prévision d'interactions entre protéines donne accès à au moins une source de données biologiques et permet des prévoir des interactions avec une protéine cible sur laquelle on dispose d'information relatives au domaine et au motif. Le module prédictif comprend un module de recherche qui tente de déterminer dans la source de données biologiques la présence d'un ensemble de protéines dont les informations relatives au domaine et au motif sont analogues à ceux de la protéine cible. Un module d'extraction extrait des protéines d'interaction de l'ensemble de protéines. Un module de localisation cellulaire détermine si les protéines d'interaction extraites sont situées au même emplacement cellulaire que la protéine cible. Un module d'analyse établit des interactions inter-protéines avec la protéine cible compte tenu des domaines d'interaction et de la localisation cellulaire.
