The invention relates to a dielectrophoresis system of handling dielectric particles, particularly biological cells, which are suspended in a medium and subjected to the action of an alternating electrical field. The distribution of said field is made non-uniform using a regular network (R) of electrodes (E¿1?, E¿2?) which can define local areas (L) where the electrical field is minimum in order to concentrate particles in said local zones (L) as a result of the action of the negative dielectrophoresis forces. The inventive system is characterised in that the network (R) of electrodes (E¿1?, E¿2?) is formed on the surface of a multi-layered support (1). Moreover, said system is characterised in that the electrodes (E¿1?, E¿2?) in the network (R) having the same polarity are linked to a common power supply contact (P¿1?, P¿2?) via two networks (R¿1?, R¿2?) of strip conductors (C¿1?, C¿2?) which are formed at an intermediary level located below the network (R) of electrodes.
Système pour manipuler par diélectrophorèse des particules diélectriques, en particulier des cellules biologiques, qui sont en suspension dans un milieu et soumises à l'action d'un champ électrique alternatif dont la répartition est rendue non uniforme au moyen d'un réseau régulier (R) d'électrodes (E1, E2) apte à définir des zones locales (L) où le champ électrique est minimum pour concentrer des particules dans ces zones locales (L) par suite de l'action de forces de diélectrophorèse négatives, caractérisé en ce que le réseau (R) d'électrodes (E1, E2) est formé à la surface d'un support multi-couche (1), et en ce que les électrodes (E1, E2) de même polarité du réseau (R) sont reliées à un plot d'alimentation commun (P1, P2) au travers de deux réseaux (R1, R2) de pistes conductrices (C1, C2) qui sont formées à un niveau intermédiaire situé en dessous du réseau (R) d'électrodes.
