A system for delivering therapeutic breathing gas to patients is provided to deliver a variable bolus volume in response to the patient's breathing pattern. The system includes a gas source (1), a conserver (2) between the gas source and the patient (3), a sensor (5) which detects breaths by the patient and a controller (6) which receives signals from the sensor and triggers delivery of gas boluses in accordance with predefined triggering parameters, with the controller determining the time elapsed since the last bolus was triggered and altering the triggering parameters as a function of said elapsed time.
L'invention concerne un système de distribution de gaz respiratoire thérapeutique à des patients, qui permet de distribuer un volume de bolus variable en réponse au modèle respiratoire d'un patient. Ce système comprend une source de gaz, un dispositif de conservation disposé entre la source de gaz et le patient, un capteur qui détecte la respiration du patient et un contrôleur qui reçoit des signaux en provenance du capteur et qui déclenche la distribution de bolus de gaz en fonction de paramètres de déclenchement prédéfinis, le contrôleur déterminant le temps écoulé depuis le dernier bolus déclenché et altérant les paramètres de déclenchement en fonction du temps écoulé.
