A method for redirecting, to a second machine, without user intervention, a request for access to a folder on a first machine, the request made by a resource executing within a remote access session on the first machine, includes receiving, by a component on a first machine, folder mapping information associated with a folder provided by a shell namespace on a second machine. The component intercepts a request by a resource executing on the first machine for access to file system data on the first machine. The component redirects the request to the second machine responsive to the received folder mapping information.

Le procédé selon la présente invention permet de rediriger vers une seconde machine, sans l'intervention de l'utilisateur, une demande d'accès à un dossier situé dans une première machine, la demande émanant d'une ressource exécutée dans une session d'accès à distance sur la première machine. Ledit procédé comprend la réception, par un élément d'une première machine, d'informations de mappage de dossier associées à un dossier fourni par un espace de nom de coquille sur une seconde machine. L'élément intercepte une demande, émanant d'une ressource exécutée sur la première machine, d'accès aux données du système de fichier de la première machine. L'élément redirige la demande vers la seconde machine par suite de la réception des données de mappage de dossier.
