A system and method for generating polysulfide includes at least one vessel (21) for containing the pulping liquor, and at least one oxidation promoter element (1) including an oxidation promoter (11) adhered by a coating material (10) to a substrate (9). The oxidation promoter element (1) may be affixed within the vessel (21) or, alternatively, movable between two or more vessels (21a, 21b) to facilitate polysulfide generation and/or recovery of the oxidation promoter in at least two vessels.

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé d'obtention de polysulfure. On utilise à cet effet au moins un bac contenant la lessive de cuisson, et au moins un élément promoteur d'oxydation comportant un promoteur d'oxydation adhérant à un substrat au moyen d'un matériau de revêtement. Le promoteur d'oxydation peut être maintenu dans le bac ou, selon un autre mode de réalisation, tenu mobile entre plusieurs bacs pour favoriser la génération du polysulfure et/ou la génération de polysulfure et/ou la récupération du promoteur d'oxydation dans au moins deux bacs.
