Methods and systems are provided for executing such a bilateral action. A communication is received at a host system. A determination is made that the communication identifies a physical instrument that identifies an account of stored value. A request is transmitted to another host system to debit the account by an amount identified in the communication to support the bilateral action. A confirmation is received from the other host system that the account of stored value has been debited.

Une détermination est effectuée et porte sur la communication qui identifie un instrument physique identifiant, à son tour, un compte d'une valeur stockée. Une demande est transmise à un autre système hôte en vue de débiter le compte d'un montant identifié dans la communication afin de soutenir l'action bilatérale. Une confirmation est reçue de l'autre système hôte. Selon ladite confirmation, le compte de la valeur stockée a été débité. Une autorisation de l'action bilatérale est transmise au dispositif de communication de départ.
