Systems, methods and apparatus for associating a clinical parameter with one or more candidate chromosomal regions in the human genome are provided. An index founder population is identified in a test population based upon the genotype X of each member of the test population such that the posterior probability PrKx) for the index founder population is greater for K= 1 than any other integer K, where K is the number of subpopulations in the index founder population. The clinical parameter is measured for each respective member of the index founder population. Then a quantitative phenotypic analysis is performed between (i) the genotype X of each respective member of the index founder population and (ii) the clinical parameter thereby identifying one or more candidate chromosomal regions in the human genome that associate with the clinical parameter.

L'invention concerne des systèmes, des procédés, et des dispositifs permettant d'associer un paramètre clinique avec une ou plusieurs régions chromosomiques candidates du génome humain. Selon cette invention, on identifie une population fondatrice de référence dans une population analysée à partir du génotype X de chaque membre de la population analysée, de telle manière que la probabilité a posteriori Pr(K?X) pour la population fondatrice de référence est plus grande pour K =1 que pour tout autre nombre entier K, K représentant le nombre de sous-populations de la population fondatrice de référence. On réalise ensuite une analyse phénotypique quantitative en mettant en rapport (i) le génotype X de chaque membre individuel de la population fondatrice de référence, et (ii) le paramètre clinique, afin d'identifier une ou plusieurs régions chromosomiques candidates du génome humain qui sont associées à ce paramètre clinique.
