Systems and methods verify the content of an electronically transmitted claim, such as a healthcare claim by intercepting the claim, reviewing the claim's contents, and comparing the claim to pre-established claim criteria established by a payer or both a healthcare service provider and payer. If the claim contains the appropriate content the claim is forwarded to its intended recipient, typically a payer such as an insurance company or government healthcare payer; otherwise the claim may be returned to the sender, e.g., a pharmacy, with an indication that it does not contain the correct content. Additionally, the claim may be edited by the system and forwarded in correct form to its intended recipient.
La présente invention concerne des systèmes et des procédés permettant de vérifier le contenu d'une demande de prestation, transmise par voie électronique, notamment une demande de prestation de soins de santé. Le procédé consiste en une interception de la demande, un examen du contenu de la demande, et une comparaison de la demande de prestation à des critères de demandes de prestations définis, établis par un organisme de remboursement ou les deux, en l'occurrence, un prestataire de services de soins de santé et un organisme de remboursement. Si la demande de prestation contient le contenu approprié, la demande de prestation est transmise à son destinataire normal, généralement un organisme de remboursement tel qu'une compagnie d'assurance ou un organisme administratif de remboursement de soins de santé. Au cas contraire, la demande de prestation peut être retournée à l'envoyeur, par exemple, une pharmacie, avec l'indication que la demande ne contient pas le contenu correct. En outre, la demande de prestation peut être éditée par le système et acheminée sous corme correcte à son destinataire normal.
