A system for determining and tracking the area of a wound (12), the system comprising a film (14) capable of receiving and retaining an outline tracing of the wound (12), a backboard template (20) comprising a background surface area and a reference surface area (22), said reference surface area (22) visually contrasting with said background surface area, said backboard template (20) generally sized to receive said film (14) to form a film/template assembly, a digital imaging device generally positioned at, a spaced distance and angle from said film/template assembly, for acquiring a digital image (28) of said film/template assembly including said reference surface area, said background surface area, and said wound tracing, and a digital image processor for processing said image to determine an area within said wound tracing.
Un système de délimitation et de suivi de la zone d'une blessure (12), le système comprenant un film (14) capable de recevoir et conserver un tracé du contour de la blessure (12), un gabarit à plaque de fond (20) comprenant une zone superficielle de plaque de fond et une zone superficielle de référence (22), ladite zone superficielle de référence (22) faisant visuellement contraste avec la zone superficielle de plaque de fond, ledit gabarit de plaque de fond (20) généralement dimensionné pour recevoir ledit film (14) de façon à former un ensemble film/gabarit, un dispositif d'imagerie numérique placé généralement à une certaine distance et sous un angle défini à partir dudit ensemble film/gabarit, pour l'acquisition d'une image numérique (28) dudit ensemble film/gabarit incluant ladite zone superficielle de référence, ladite zone superficielle de plaque de fond, et ledit traçage de la blessure, et un processeur d'image numérique pour traiter ladite image de façon à déterminer une aire à l'intérieur du traçage de ladite blessure.
