Various embodiments of systems, methods and apparatus are provided for changing an operational mode of a remote control (106) for a controlled device (102). A remote control queries a controlled device (402) to determine the operating state of the controlled device (404). Responsive to determining the operating state of the controlled device, the remote control determines whether to enter an active mode state and/or limited power mode state (408). Components of the remote control may then be commanded to enter a selected operating mode state depending on whether the components are utilized by the present operational state of the controlled device.

En réponse à la détermination de létat de fonctionnement de lappareil commandé, la commande à distance détermine si elle doit passer en état de mode actif et/ou en état de mode de puissance limitée (408). Les composants de la commande à distance peuvent alors être commandés pour passer dans un état de mode de fonctionnement choisi qui dépend de lutilisation ou non des composants par létat de fonctionnement actuel de lappareil commandé.
