A heavy duty clamp (22) for cables or wires (27), and the like, said clamp having increased strength and resistance to distortion or breakage. Two overlying clamp plates (24, 26), or segments, are held against relative movement by one of the plates having a shoulder member (52) that engages with a portion of the other plate. The plates contain a split, tubular gripping member (28) and the plates have increased longitudinal strength by having extended ends of the plates (70, 62) to provide protection against shearing forces created by the split tubular gripping member against the adjacent ends of the clamp plates (24, 26).
L'invention concerne un dispositif de serrage renforcé (22) destiné à des câbles et fils métalliques (27) et analogues, ledit dispositif de serrage ayant une solidité et une résistance à la déformation ou à la rupture renforcées. Deux plaques, ou segments, de serrage sus-jacentes (24, 26) sont maintenues de manière à empêcher tout mouvement relatif de l'une des plaques qui présente un épaulement (52) entrant en contact avec une partie de l'autre plaque. Les plaques comportent un élément de prise tubulaire fendu (28) et présentent une résistance longitudinale renforcée grâce aux extrémités étendues des plaques (70, 62), lesquelles assurent une protection contre les forces de cisaillement exercées par l'élément de prise tubulaire fendu sur les extrémités adjacentes des plaques de serrage (24, 26).
