A table attachment for a hand cart includes a plurality of plate segments disposed in end-to-end relation. A hinge connects each segment to an adjacent segment; and attaching structure at opposite ends of the table attachment cooperate with end portions of the hand cart to releasably secure the table attachment to the cart. The attachment transforms the cart into a table and provides a top surface for the table. This attachment folds into a flat, plate-like configuration and extends to a generally L-shaped form.
