A table includes a table top and a table frame. The table frame preferably includes one or more side rails, end rails, table legs, and support braces. The table also includes a mounting structure that is provided on the underside of the table top. At least a portion of a support assembly is connected to the mounting structure. Desirably, the mounting structure and the support assembly are disposed towards the center portion of the table, but the mounting structure and/or support assembly could be located in any desired portion of the table. Preferably, one end of the support braces is pivotally attached to the support assembly and the other end is pivotally attached to a table leg. Advantageously, the support assembly provides a "planar" support area to a portion of the table top.

La présente invention concerne une table constituée d'un plateau de table et d'une structure de table. Cette structure de table comprend de préférence une ou plusieurs traverses latérales, des traverses d'extrémité, des pieds de table ainsi que des entretoises de support. La table comprend également une structure de montage qui est située sur le dessous du plateau de table. Au moins une partie de l'ensemble support est fixée à la structure de montage. La structure de montage et l'ensemble support sont de préférence disposés du côté de la partie centrale de la table. La structure de montage et/ou l'ensemble support peuvent toutefois être placés dans une partie quelconque souhaitée de la table. Une extrémité des entretoises de support est de préférence fixée pivotante à l'ensemble support et l'autre extrémité est fixée pivotante à un pied de la table. Cet ensemble support présente l'avantage de fournir une surface de support "plane" à une partie du plateau de table.
