The invention provides a table horse racing game which imparts much of the fun of actual horse racing. A table frame having lateral and end walls is provided as is a table board which can slide back and forth in grooves provided in the lateral walls. A crank is mounted to a crank shaft mounted in the lateral walls and a nut is mounted to the crank shaft below the table board. An angle plate is mounted to the underside of the board, in contact with the nut. A rubber band is connected between the underside of the board and one end of the frame. Playing pieces resembling horses rest on top of the board. As the crank is rotated the corners of the nut act on the angle plate to cause the board to shake back and forth which has the effect of moving the horses along the board. Bumps can be provided on the board to make it more uncertain as to which of the horses will reach the other end of the board first.
