An extendable tableslide assembly for supporting a supplemental table-top leaf of an extension table in which a first slide member having a first bearing surface and has a first longitudinal channel disposed on the first bearing surface. A second slide member has a second bearing surface disposed opposite to and adjacent to the first bearing surface, with a second longitudinal channel disposed on the second bearing surface. A guide block is disposed between and joining the first and second slide members and has a first protection for receipt within the first channel and a second protection for receipt within the second channel. The first projection is rigidly secured within the first channel and the second projection is slidably engaged within the second slide member. The first and second bearing sur- faces are substantially free from contact with respect to each other, with respect to the guide block, and with respect to any member affixed to the guide block or bearing surfaces during extension and retraction of the assembly.
