ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tableted chewing gum composition comprising a blended mixture of: (i) chewing gum granules comprising a chewing gum base, a grinding aid and a sweetening agent; and (ii) a compression aid comprising at least two components selected from the group consisting of a lubricant, a glidant, an anti-adherent and mixtures thereof; said tableted chewing gum having a moisture content of about 2% to about 8% by weight. Additionally, a process of producing a chewing gum tablet is disclosed. The tableted compositions may contain one or more medicaments.
