The invention provides an adhesive comprising (A) the polymerization reaction product of starting materials comprising: (a) 25 to 100 parts by weight of a polymerizable component comprising at least one acrylic or methacrylic ester of a non-tertiary alkyl alcohol in which the alkyl group contains 4 to 20 carbon atoms; and (b) 0 to 75 parts by weight of a polymerizable component comprising at least one reinforcing monomer, copolymerizable with component (a), the sum of (a) and (b) amounting to 100 parts by weight; and (B) 1 to 75 parts by weight, per 100 parts by weight of the sum of components (a) and (b), of a tackifier, wherein component (B) may or may not be present in said starting materials; said tackifier comprising a water white, hydrogenated resin produced from a hydrocarbon feedstock, said tackifier having: (i) a retained aromaticity on a weight percent of monomers in the feedstock basis of greater than 50 percent; (ii) a softening point of 65 to 120 ~C; (iii) an Mz of less than 1800; and (iv) substantially no molecular weight fractions above 7000.
Cette invention concerne un adhésif comportant d'une part (A) le produit d'une réaction de polymérisation effectuée sur des matières de départ comprenant: (a) de 25 à 100 parties en poids d'un composant polymérisable contenant au moins un ester acrylique ou méthacrylique d'un alcool d'alkyle non tertiaire dans lequel le groupe alkyle contient de 4 à 20 atomes de carbone, et (b) de 0 à 75 parties en poids d'un composant polymérisable contenant au moins un monomère renforçant, co-polymérisable avec le composant (a), la somme de (a) et de (b) représentant 100 parties en poids. Ledit adhésif comporte d'autre part de 1 à 75 parties en poids, pour 100 parties en poids de la somme des composants (a) et (b), d'un agent collant, ledit composant (B) pouvant ou non être présent dans les matières de départ. Ledit agent collant contient une résine hydrogénée ayant une couleur du type "eau blanche" obtenue à partir d'une charge d'alimentation d'hydrocarbures et il possède (i) une aromaticité rémanente sur un pourcentage en poids des monomères dans la base de charge d'alimentation supérieure à 50 pour cent, (ii) un point de ramollissement compris entre 65 et 120 ·C, (iii) un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre atomique (Mz) inférieur à 1800 et (iv) pratiquement aucune fraction de poids moléculaire supérieur à 7000.
