A tailgate (24) for recyclable material container (16) mounted on a vehicle base chassis (14) includes an upper door (26) normally closing an upper compartment opening and a lower door (28) normally closing a lower compartment opening. The upper door is pivotally connected at an upper portion thereof to an upper portion of the container. The lower door has a pair of support arms extending upwardly therefrom, each of which is movably connected at its upper portion to an upper portion of the container. The upper and lower doors each further includes a lifting mechanism for translating the respective door from a normally closed to an open position.

La porte supérieure est montée pivotante au niveau de sa partie supérieure sur une partie supérieure du conteneur. La porte inférieure présente deux bras de support partant vers le haut à partir de celle-ci, chacun étant connecté d'une manière mobile au niveau de sa partie supérieure à une partie inférieure du conteneur. Les portes supérieure et inférieure comprennent en outre chacune un mécanisme de levage pour faire passer la porte concernée d'une position normalement fermée vers une position normalement ouverte.
