Ces substances se caractérisent en ce que chaque particule présente intérieurement la structure cristalline du talc lui conférant certaines propriétés spécifiques de ce minéral (faible dureté, stabilité thermique) et possède des propriétés de surface hydrophiles s'opposant à celles hydrophobes au talc minéral et conduisant à une bonne réactivité. Les substances conformes à l'invention possèdent un domaine de stabilité thermique et chimique analogue à celui du talc. Elles peuvent être fabriquées par voie thermique ou voies chimiques dans des conditions propres à éviter la transformation interne au talc et à opérer des modifications de surface consistant en une substitution des ponts siloxanes inertes par des fonctions hydrophiles actives.
