The invention provides an improved method to display data on a mobile device. The graphical user interface control, called a TallList Control, displays a collection of items in a unique format. The device screen is divided into three rectangular regions: previous, current and next. Single lines are used to convey information about the next and previous regions while the remaining space is used for the current item. This control is designed for devices with small display configurations and reduces the time and effort required to view and manipulate data.
