The combination of a container and a screw-type lid is improved by a tamper- ~evident feature comprising a locking tab on the exterior of the container having upwardly facing teeth and mating teeth on the lid, the teeth on the container and lid being arranged so as be slidable relative to one another while in mutual engagement when the lid is rotated in one direction and to lock to one another when the lid is urged to rotate in an opposite direction. The tab is tearable to terminate the locking action, thereby evidencing tampering. A catch member formed on the container is positioned to engage and cam one of several latch lugs formed on the lid, whereby to establish a locking action with that latch lug. The catch member prevents removal of the lid from the container until the engaged latch lug is pressed inwardly far enough for it to be released from the catch member, whereupon the lid may be unscrewed from the container.
L'invention concerne une combinaison d'un contenant et d'un couvercle de type vissable, amélioré par un élément d'inviolabilité comportant une languette de verrouillage sur l'extérieur du contenant. Ladite languette comporte des dents dirigées vers le haut, et le couvercle comporte des dents correspondantes. Les dents du contenant et du couvercle sont disposées de manière à coulisser les unes par rapport aux autres quand elles se trouvent en prise mutuelle, lorsque le couvercle est tourné dans un sens, et à se bloquer mutuellement lorsque le couvercle est tourné dans le sens opposé. La languette peut être déchirée afin d'achever le processus de verrouillage, de manière à rendre ledit contenant inviolable. Un élément de prise formé sur le contenant est disposé de manière à entrer en prise et s'encastrer avec un cran de verrou parmi une pluralité de crans formés sur le couvercle, afin d'établir un verrouillage avec ledit cran de verrou. L'élément de prise empêche le retrait du couvercle par rapport au contenant jusqu'à ce que le cran de verrou soit suffisamment enfoncé pour que ce dernier soit libéré de l'élément de prise, le couvercle pouvant ainsi être dévissé du contenant.
