ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A tamper-indicating closure for a container in which the closure is permanently attached to a container and is provided with a cap having a dispensing opening communicating with the container which is closed by a hinged lid. Opening movement of the lid is prevented by the shape of the lid so that a separate handle formed as a unit with the lid must be deformed to a position where it can be more easily gripped for hinging movement of the lid. Once deformed, return movement of the handle to a position correcting the deformation is precluded thereby leaving the handle in a deformed position indicating that the closure has been put in a condition for opening movement.
