A tamper-proof device is provided for lockingly attaching a piece of equipment such as a TV set or a microwave oven to a support base. It has a pair of rigid plates that are respectively connected to the piece of equipmentand the support base. One of the plates is surrounded by a flange which defines a closed area in which wedges are located to hook both plates together. The two plates are rigidly connected to each other by a screwable bolt that can be reached with a screw driver through a coaxial opening provided in the flange. A sleeve extends in between the head of the bolt and the opening. This sleeve can be closed by key-operated lock in order to prevent access to the bolt. The lock is free to rotate within the sleeve even when its latch is locked in outward position. Such prevents a theft from breaking the latch by forcing the lock into rotation in a cantilever fashion. A resilient plate is mounted within the closed area in such a manner as to extend radially close to the sleeve in order to contact the latch when the latch projects radially outwardly of the sleeve. This plate is resilient enough to let the latch flip over it if too much rotational force is applied to the lock within the sleeve.
Cette invention concerne un dispositif indémontable servant au montage inamovible d'un appareil, par exemple un téléviseur ou un four à micro-ondes, sur un socle. Le dispositif se compose de deux plaques rigides couplées respectivement à l'appareil et au socle. Une des plaques comporte un rebord périphérique définissant une enceinte fermée dans laquelle sont prévus des coins servant à réunir les deux plaques. Celles-ci sont rendues solidaires l'une de l'autre au moyen d'un boulon dont la tête est accessible via un trou pratiqué vis-à-vis dans le rebord susmentionné. Un manchon verrouillable en place au moyen d'une serrure à clé empêche les personnes non autorisées d'avoir accès au boulon. La serrure étant montée en ajustement lâche à l'intérieur du manchon, il peut tourner même lorsque celui-ci est verrouillée en place. Cette disposition constructive empêche les voleurs de forcer la serrure en y appliquant un effort de rotation en porte-à-faux. l'intérieur de l'enceinte fermée se trouve une plaque élastique se terminant à proximité du manchon pour accrocher le pêne sorti de la serrure. Cette plaque présente une élasticité telle qu'elle s'efface devant le pêne sorti lorsqu'on applique une trop grande force de rotation à la serrure à l'intérieur du manchon.
