ABSTRACT A tamper proof lid which includes an end panel and a depending annular body having means for interlocking with a container neck finish. The annular body has a lower skirt which incorporates a frangible portion. A handle is secured to the frangible skirt portion and a rupturable webbing extends between the handle and the skirt thereby limiting movement of the handle.
