A tamper -resistant electrical receptacle disclosed herein includes a cover assembly having at least one pair of apertures (39,41), a cover (20), and at least one slider (12) that rests in the cover (20) behind one pair of the apertures The slider (12) is held in a first position where it covers both apertures such that an object is blocked from entrance in either aperture and, thereby, blocked from accessing either receptacle terminal formed in the base assembly connected to the cover assembly This first position is mainted until prongs (19) are substantially inserted simultaneously into the apertures causing the slider (12) to move into a second position where the prongs (19 are enabled to pass through the apertures, engaging the receptacle terminals After the prongs (19) are removed from the receptacle terminals, the slider (120) automatically retracts to the first position When only one aperture is probed by an object, however, the slide remains confined in the first position.
L'invention concerne un réceptable électrique inviolable comprenant un ensemble couvercle doté d'au moins une paire d'ouvertures, un couvercle et au moins une glissière disposée dans le couvercle derrière une paire d'ouvertures. Ladite glissière est maintenue dans une première position dans laquelle elle recouvre les deux ouvertures de sorte qu'un objet ne peut entrer dans l'une ou l'autre des ouvertures, ce qui bloque l'accès à une borne réceptacle formée dans un ensemble base connecté à l'ensemble couvercle. Cette première position est maintenue jusqu'à l'introduction simultanée de broches dans les ouvertures, ce qui entraîne le déplacement de la glissière vers une seconde position dans laquelle lesdites broches traversent les ouvertures et coopèrent avec les bornes réceptacle. Une fois que les broches se désolidarisent des bornes réceptacle, la glissière se rétracte automatiquement dans la première position. Lorsqu'un objet sonde une seule ouverture, la glissière reste alors confinée dans ladite première position.
