A tamper proof retractable non-reusable syringe has a one piece hollow outer body with a barrel for a slidable plunger, a transition zone and a smaller diameter nose portion. An elongated needle holder and spring combination is installed from the rear of the outer body, guided into the nose portion and held by cooperating inwardly and outwardly facing surfaces oriented in the direction of retraction at the most constricted part of the transition zone where the nose begins. The plunger has an opening with a dislodged stopper for receiving parts of the retraction mechanism. The stopper and the head of the needle holder are of significantly reduced diameter from the injection fluid chamber to resist blowing out prematurely. In one embodiment the head of the needle holder is surrounded by a separable retainer member which is slide removed by contact with the tip of the plunger after the stopper is mostly or fully removed to avoid cumulation of force required for retraction after the injection.
La présente invention concerne une seringue rétractable (10) à garantie d'usage unique, constituée d'un corps externe monobloc creux (12) comportant un cylindre (14) recevant un piston coulissant, une zone de transition (18) et un embout (16) de diamètre plus petit. Un ensemble constitué d'un porte-aiguille oblong (22) et d'un ressort (24) est installé sur l'arrière du corps externe, guidé dans l'embout et maintenu par la coopération de surfaces tournées vers l'intérieur et l'extérieur, orientées dans le sens de retrait au niveau de la partie la plus rétrécie de la zone de transition où naît l'embout. Le piston comporte une ouverture pourvue d'une butée amovible (42) destinée à recevoir des parties du mécanisme de retrait (20). Pour résister à un déclenchement prématuré, les diamètres de la butée et de la tête du porte-aiguille sont fortement réduits à partir de la chambre d'injection du fluide. Selon unmode de réalisation, la tête du porte-aiguille est entourée d'un élément de retenue séparable qui s'escamote par glissement au contact de l'extrémité du piston une fois que la butée est presque ou complètement retirée pour éviter l'accumulation de force indispensable au retrait après l'injection.
