Tampons (1) usually comprises a cord (5), which projects from one of the ends of the tampon (1) and is intended to enable one to remove said tampon (1) form the vaginal cavity right after its use. One of the objectives of the present invention is to provide a cord (5) for a tampon (1) that will no be broken or damaged at the time of compacting the absorbent body (3), replacing the cord (5) that has been used at present. This objective is achieved by means of a tampon (1), particularly a tampon for holding vaginal exudates, comprising a substantially cylindrical absorbent body (3) having longitudinal grooves (4) in its surface and comprising a cord (5) suitable for handling said tampon (1), associated to the absorbent body (3), the cord (5) being textured. A method is also described for manufacturing said tampon (1) with the respective textured cord (5).
La présente invention concerne un article absorbant d'hygiène intime, également connu sous le nom de tampon (1), particulièrement utilisé pour absorber et retenir les exsudats vaginaux, tels que le sang menstruel et les sécrétions intermenstruelles. Les tampons (1) sont connus actuellement et se présentent généralement sous la forme d'un corps sensiblement cylindrique fait de matière absorbante (3), conçu pour pouvoir être introduit dans la cavité vaginale. Une ficelle (5) s'étendant de l'une des extrémités du tampon (1) permet de retirer ledit tampon (1) de la cavité vaginale après son utilisation. Lors du procédé de fabrication du tampon (1), le corps absorbant (3) est soumis à un compactage, la ficelle (5) pouvant être rompue lorsqu'on utilise une matière inextensible pour la fabriquer. L'un des objectifs de l'invention est de fournir une ficelle (5) pour tampon (1), ne subissant pas de rupture ou de dommage lorsque le corps absorbant (3) est soumis au compactage, en vue de remplacer la ficelle (5) utilisée jusqu'à présent. On réalise cet objectif avec un tampon (1), particulièrement un tampon destiné à retenir les exsudats vaginaux, se présentant sous la forme d'un corps absorbant sensiblement cylindrique (3), comprenant des rainures longitudinales (4) sur sa surface et comportant une ficelle traitée (5) associée au corps absorbant (3), qui permet de manipuler ce tampon (1). En l'occurrence, cette invention concerne un procédé de fabrication dudit tampon (1) comportant la ficelle traitée (5) en question.
