Abstract of the Disclosure TANDEM CONE BOLT ANCHOR An improved device for mounting push/pull handles to a door without the use of exposed fasteners. The device comprises an anchor with two axially spaced- apart cone sections. Set screws inserted through the door handle bear against the cone sections of the anchor and create a wedging action which forces the door handle laterally toward and against the door stile. By providing two separate cones in an axially spaced-apart relation, the rotational forces exerted at each set screw when the handle is pushed or pulled tend to cancel each other, avoiding the problem of "hardware wobble" which loosens conventional door handles from their mountings.
