Tank cleaning system is formed by an upper deck (20) having a spout portion (30) and a deck portion (28), injectors (22) and a separation chamber (23) having a conical bottom wall (46) and a top formed by a waste baffle (24). The injectors (22) connect the deck portion (28) with the separation chamber (23) so that the waste baffle (24) and upper deck (20) are axially separated to provide an outlet passage therebetween. The injector passages direct water through the upper deck (20) and waste baffle (24) into the lower chamber and impart a significant velocity component tangential to the chamber to the water flowing therethrough to impart a helical flow to the water in the chamber (23). A debris outlet passage (50) is provided adjacent to the bottom of the lower portion of the chamber (23). The dirt laden stream enters the chamber (23) through the injectors (22) and dirt is separated by centrifugal action in the chamber and rejected through the debris outlet (50) while the cleaned water passes through the outlet passage (64) and is returned to the surrounding water.
Cette invention concerne un système de nettoyage de réservoir formé d'un étage supérieur (20) possédant une partie en goulotte (30) et une partie en plateau (28), d'injecteurs (22) et d'une chambre (23) de séparation à fond conique (46) et dont le haut est constitué d'un déflecteur (24) de déchets. Les injecteurs (22) connectent la partie plateau (20) à la chambre (23) de séparation de sorte que le déflecteur (24) de déchets et l'étage supérieur (20) sont séparés axialement, fournissant ainsi un passage d'évacuation entre eux. Les passages des injecteurs dirigent l'eau dans la chambre inférieure à travers l'étage supérieur (20) et le déflecteur (24) de déchets et impriment une vitesse importante au flux de l'eau traversant la chambre, tangentiellement à celle-ci, provoquant un écoulement tourbillonnaire de l'eau dans la chambre (23). Un passage (50) d'évacuation des débris, adjacent au fond de la partie inférieure de la chambre (23), est ménagé. Le flux chargé d'impuretés entre dans la chambre (23) par les injecteurs (22) et les impuretés sont séparées dans la chambre par la force centrifuge et sont rejetées par l'évacuation (50) des déchets pendant que l'eau épurée passe par le passage (64) d'évacuation et rejoint l'eau environnante.
