The invention relates to a tank for storage of cryogenic fluids. The tank comprises a base section, a vertical wall element and preferably an upper top. The tank is provided with a fluid tight barrier intended to prevent the stored fluids to escape to the surroundings. The fluid tight barrier is formed of thin metal plates joined together. At least the vertical wall comprises an inner structurally supporting wall element and an outer structurally supporting wall element. The fluid tight barrier is arranged between the inner and the outer structurally supporting wall element. The invention relates also to a method for constructing such a tank.
L'invention concerne un réservoir (11) destiné au stockage de fluides cryogéniques. Le réservoir (11) comprend une section de base (12), une paroi verticale (14) et de préférence un couvercle (19). Le réservoir (11) comporte une barrière étanche aux fluides (26) conçue pour empêcher les fluides stockés de s'échapper du réservoir (11). La barrière étanche aux fluides (26) est constituée de fines plaques de métal reliées entre elles. Au moins la paroi verticale (14) comprend un élément de paroi interne (24) servant de support de structure et un élément de paroi externe (25) servant également de support de structure. La barrière étanche aux fluides (26) est disposée entre les éléments de paroi interne et externe (24, 25). L'invention concerne également un procédé servant à construire ce réservoir (11), consistant tout d'abord à poser la section de base (12), puis à bétonner une paroi verticale (14) de préférence par coffrage glissant ou grimpant. Le procédé consiste plus précisément à renforcer et à bétonner le premier élément de paroi interne (24) de la paroi verticale (14), puis à former une barrière étanche aux fluides (26) sur le côté externe de l'élément de paroi interne (24) et, enfin, à renforcer et à bétonner l'élément de paroi externe (25).
