Abstract of the Disclosure A tannable photographic element and method therefore, the element comprising a uniquely treated opaque, translucent, or transparent base support and having at least one pigment in reactive association with the silver halide emulsion layer is useful in the graphic arts. The base support comprises an extremely thin gelatin subbing layer substantially free of hardener, or no subbing at all, on a primed base support.
