ABSTRACT The construction of a tap spout for metallurgical vessels, particularly for use on oxygen-steel converters, is improved to allow for necessary maintenance work to be simplified. For this purpose, a replaceable unit comprising a tubular wear lining with a jointing layer applied thereto is provided. The wear lining may thus be renewed without difficulty.
